We distinguish a marketing claim of "third-party tested" from actual verifiable evidence. Our testing statuses range from a verified recognised certification down to no public evidence located. A manufacturer claim alone is never treated as verified - we look for a named, identifiable lab, a batch-specific certificate of analysis, or a recognised certification body record with a public URL.
Six clear evidence statuses
The evidence review is unfinished. This is not a failed test or a finding that no evidence exists.
A relevant certification record should be checked against the exact product, scope and validity dates.
An identifiable laboratory report should match the product or batch and specify the tests and results.
The manufacturer supplies a certificate of analysis. Its origin and scope must still be assessed.
A testing claim exists, but supporting public evidence has not been located.
No supporting public information is recorded. This is not proof that testing has not occurred.
Human review remains part of the process
Automated research enters a review queue. A person checks product identity, source links and the evidence scope before approving it. Ambiguous or missing sources must not be upgraded to verified status.
